As part of National Older People’s week (1st October 2018), Older People’s Partnership Hull and East Riding (OPPHER), for the 6th year running are hosting the Celebration of Older People event at the Britannia Royal Hotel in Hull.
City residents are invited to attend the Celebration of Older People in Hull and ER event, on Monday 1st October and Tuesday 2nd October 2018. The celebration days will run from 10am – 4pm, with a host of free performances, events, and advice sessions for people to get involved with.
These celebration events will include a series of activities and events to celebrate and showcase the contributions that older people are making to our local community and the positive impact that cultural activities can have on health and well-being. The Partnership hope to raise awareness of local organisations and businesses, which through their work, are helping to improve the lives of older people, helping them to stay healthy, and reducing loneliness and isolation. The events offer a chance to celebrate what the ageing population contribute to the city and how you can get involved. Just turn up and enjoy the entertainment. Everyone welcome.
