10th February 2023Introduction to Library of Stuff at Unity in Community
On 21st February, Alan Dalgairns, Founder and Director of the Hull Library of Stuff, will be speaking about how borrowing instead of buying is good for improving your bank balance and reducing CO2 emissions, which may be of interest to you or your organisation or community group.
Situated on Greenwood Avenue, the Library of Stuff is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company that allows you to borrow items for a week at a fraction of the retail price.
You can borrow a range of items such as sewing machines, lawnmowers, party and camping equipment.
During the event, Alan will explain how you can borrow, donate or volunteer at the Library of Stuff and answer general questions about the circular economy.
The Library of Stuff was established three years ago by Alan Dalgairns who was particularly interested in a movement called, The Library of Things. Alan was one of the first ‘libraries’ to set up in the country making Hull a pioneer in borrowing, and often helps other organisations set up their own ‘libraries of stuff’.
Tuesday 21st February – 11am-1pm at Unity in Community, 372 Greenwood Avenue, HU6 8AP
