£30,000 + pension
Full or part-time (30 to 37.5 hours per week)
This is one of a unique group of organisations that exist across the country to represent and support GPs. Their aspiration is to see informed, supported and empowered GPs working in thriving local practices. You will play a pivotal role within the organisation, providing a high quality, effective and flexible administrative support service and supporting the development and delivery of services to GPs and practices.
You will act as line manager for two Team Administrators and will have responsibility for the day to day running of the office. An important part of your role will be to ensure that appropriate systems are in place to deliver an excellent service to ‘customers’ who are largely local GPs, practice managers and colleagues from partner organisations.
You will provide direct administrative support to the Senior Management Team including diary management, minute taking, agenda planning and dealing with queries.
This is a small and very busy team. Your workload will therefore be a mix of routine and much more varied activities when you will have the opportunity to develop your skills. They will want the new Business Support Officer to take the lead on a number of projects, giving you the opportunity to mould certain aspects of this role and make then your own. There is huge capacity for the right candidate to develop their knowledge of primary care and in doing so to extend the remit of the post.
