30th May 2025Persons In a Position of Trust Training.

The Hull Safeguarding Adult Partnership Board is offering the following training :
The Care Act (2014) defines Persons in Positions of Trust (PiPoT) as; “people who work in paid or unpaid capacity, including celebrities and people undertaking charitable duties with adults with care and support needs”
Positions of trust may include, but are not limited to, any staff working on behalf of:
· Social Care
· Health Services
· Police and Criminal justice
· Housing
· Education
Allegations may be made that a PiPoT has caused harm to an adult or child, either in their professional or personal life. In these cases, it is essential that there is a fair & proportionate response to protect those at risk.
The Hull Safeguarding Adult Partnership Board has developed guidelines to help and assist you if you have concerns regarding a PiPoT. Sign up to a bite size briefing to learn what a PiPoT is and what you should do to protect vulnerable adults and comply with the Care Act.
