A huge thank you to all Neighbourhood Watch volunteers!

That’s the end of National Neighbourhood Watch week 2021, and what a busy week it has been!

The team at Neighbourhood Network would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has attended one of our daily online sessions and especially thank you to the wonderful and knowledgeable presenters giving a great insight into each topic.

We have shared daily updates on just a few Hull community groups that are doing fantastic work in our wonderful city and we couldn’t let the week go by without the NN team doing our little bit for the community with a litter pick around the Bespoke Centre where our office is located.

By being part of a Neighbourhood Watch you are helping to make your street safer, bringing neighbours closer and bringing a sense of pride into your community. A Neighbourhood Watch doesn’t have to be all about crime, although that can be part of it, a Neighbourhood Watch can mean that you may get to know your neighbours down the road by organising a litter pick, or holding a Big Lunch, having a street party, making a community library or even just putting a card through the door to check if a neighbour is ok. Each of these actions make a huge difference to a community, developing a sense of belonging and pride, and we could not be prouder of all the wonderful volunteers doing just that!
