19th March 2021Celebrations for the Neighbourhood Network team and trustees with 2021 High Sheriff Awards

The Neighbourhood Network charity and it’s staff Lucy, Sarah and Katie were honoured to have been chosen to receive a High Sheriff Award acknowledging the services we offer to the community.
For 2020/2021 the High Sheriff, Andrew Horncastle MBE, has awarded a number of accolades to individuals, community groups and charities that serve Hull and the East Riding.
The team were also thrilled to hear that two of these fellow recipients were Neighbourhood Network Trustee/Directors, congratulations to Debbie Fagan and Devan Witter on their individual honours.
The High Sheriff said of the Neighbourhood Network in his citation, ‘Lucy, Sarah and Katie are the team who operate this charity which supports local groups with community safety interests, such as small local neighbourhood watch or community and resident association groups. They assist with matters like community safety, and security and issues of nuisance in neighbourhoods. They run workshops and help people to get advice on how to protect their property. They connect people and work closely with the community policing teams. As a small charity, they also have to spend time raising money to cover their operating costs, all of this whilst being busy working Mums. They provide a great service to local communities in Hull and their enthusiasm and passion for what they do is infectious. Well done Lucy, Sarah and Katie and thank you.’
In such difficult times it’s great to receive feedback that the Neighbourhood Network is doing its bit to serve the local communities.
The pre-recorded service can be viewed on the High Sheriff You Tube Channel. Click here to view and give thanks for the work undertaken by our Judiciary and all who maintain the Queen’s peace, together with those who keep us safe and those who volunteer.
