East Park water play reopens for summer of fun
23rd July 2021Cycle security partnership event

This week the NN team spent the day at St. Stephen’s shopping centre in Hull working alongside Humberside Police, British Transport Police & R-evolution.
The aim of the day was to inform cyclists how to safely secure their cycles to deter a thief from stealing it.
During lockdown the sales of bicycles has rocketed and with this so has potential theft. We want to help make cyclists more aware of how to safely lock your bike. Try and follow our top tips on cycle safety:
- Choose a busy place with plenty of passers by, hopefully discouraging a thief
- Always lock your bike to something rigid and secure
- Do not use a cheap bike lock that a thief can easily cut through
- Position your lock so it is awkward for a thief to easily get to it
- Lock or take with you any removable items -e.g. quick release wheels or lights
- Register your bike on https://www.immobilise.com/
