Garden volunteer day at Songbird Garden

With the cold weather behind us and lighter evenings finally here, we’re excited to kick off our first garden volunteer session of the year at the Songbird Garden, based at the Alf Marshall Community Centre.

Date: Monday 20th April 2026

Time: 11:00am – 1:00pm

There’s plenty to get stuck into as we bring the garden back to life for spring, including:

• Sowing seeds
• Fixing and maintaining planters
• Installing water butts
• Planting fruit and vegetables
• A good general garden tidy

If that’s too much for you, we are always looking for someone to keep everyone refreshed with a cuppa

Whether you’re green-fingered or just fancy getting outdoors and meeting others, everyone is welcome to come along and lend a hand.

No need to book,  just turn up on the day!
