The Neighbourhood Network team were pleased to support member group Dalwood Neighbourhood Watch in securing funding to purchase planting materials to create its very own rose garden within the heart of Dalwood Close located in the West Carr ward of Hull.
Dalwood Neighbourhood Watch has been committed in improving the area in and around Dalwood Close from its very inception, you will regularly see co-ordinator Terry and other residents litter pick the area, making the area clean and tidy for everyone to enjoy!
More recently a group of residents identified an area, located next to a set of bungalows, which was becoming a problem area especially with overgrown weeds. Thanks to coordinator Terry who then contacted the NN team to see whether support could be given in the supply of gardening material to turn this piece of land into a beautiful rose garden.
With a little team effort, the NN team supported them in securing ward budget funds to enable them to purchase planting materials. Thank you to Terry and his volunteers for putting in the hard work in creating this beautiful rose garden for everyone to enjoy!
It was a pleasure to visit Terry and Sue yesterday and view their achievements. A great example of what can be achieved by residents coming together and taking action in their community.
Special thanks to the local councillors for funding this project.
