Strokestra® at the Alf Marshall Centre!

The Alf Marshall Community Centre are happy to welcome the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, who join stroke survivors, carers, and musicians, who will perform a free lunchtime concert of original tunes after weeks of rehearsals at the Alf Marshall, Centre.

Strokestra® is a non-clinical group that brings stroke survivors and professional musicians together to take part in a range of fun musical activities.  The activities bring social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and communication benefits whilst creating their Orchestral pieces. It’s an opportunity for those who have suffered from a stroke to experience something they may or may not have done before, or now can’t do what they use to enjoy, but Strokestra® allows you to find out that you can still do an activity while making it enjoyable and interesting.

Why not pop along on Friday 28th July at 2pm and join them for their musical finalè at North Point Shopping Centre.

Strokestra® is free to attend, but prior registration is required, and it’s available to all stroke survivors 18+ as well as their family or carers.
