30th November 2020Supporting Neighbourhood Watch in Hull

It’s been a busy week at the Neighbourhood Network supporting new Neighbourhood Watch groups in the city.
We would like to welcome new groups Bounty Drive Neighbourhood Watch and East Carr Residents Association to the number of growing community groups making a difference in the city.
We have supported Bounty Drive Neighbourhood Watch by creating and printing Newsletters, which the coordinator has been busy circulating over the last week, with plans for lots of community events over Christmas and set for the New Year.
It was also great to meet members from East Carr Residents Association committee to discuss plans for the future, with connections and ideas circulated on how they can grow and deal with issues in their neighbourhood.
Not only supporting new groups but also groups who continue to support their communities. For example, Strathemore, Silverdale and Riversdale Neighbourhood Watch have a number of community events/activities planned for the festive season. We have helped them by tailoring a newsletter design and printing over 300 copies, these will then get distributed to encourage more residents to get involved. Gems Neighbourhood Watch have requested additional Neighbourhood Watch packs to make even more people aware of the benefits of being part of their group.
It just goes to show community spirit is still very much active in the diverse communities of Hull.
