An exciting new opportunity has become available to work for the Neighbourhood Network charity.
We are a small registered charity based in Hull, aiming to support the coming together of residents, empowering them to build safer, stronger, and healthier communities.
The Neighbourhood Network’s core work since 2011, has been in community safety, including supporting and encouraging Neighbourhood Watch across the city, supporting the charity’s wider membership, working in specific locations across Hull to engage and encourage the coming together of residents as part of a wider collaboration, ‘Lock it or Lose it’ cycle crime reduction initiative, managing the ‘Safer you’ project that supports those most vulnerable through target hardening and managing the crime reduction shop.
The Neighbourhood Network team are seeking a passionate, professional, confident Community Safety Project Coordinator that will support the Neighbourhood Network Managers and trustees in delivering the various projects to meet the needs of the beneficiaries. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience of working within the Voluntary and Community Sector and be flexible to work across and support all Neighbourhood Network Projects when needed.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Encouraging new membership to the Neighbourhood Network
- Supporting and encouraging the Neighbourhood Watch movement
- Supporting residents by attending and advising at meetings
- Designing and circulating the fortnightly newsletter
- Organising events and activities
- Updating the charity’s websites and social media accounts in an accurate and timely manner
- Communicating key messages across the platforms
- Working with third party organisations in supporting residents across the city
- Representing the charity at meetings and events
- Managing the ‘lock it or lose it’ cycle crime reduction project
- Managing and developing the ‘Safer You’ projects across the city wards
- Working on Orchard Park as part of the wider HOPE project
- Managing the crime reduction products through the online shop and sales at events
