The Small Grants programme is provided by The City Health Care Partnership Foundation (CHCP Foundation), a registered charity in England and Wales.
Objectives of Fund
The funding is intended to to provide an opportunity for local voluntary and community organisations and other not-for-profit organisations to contribute towards the health and wellbeing of people living in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, Knowsley and St Helens to carry out activities, projects or one-off events requiring an element of sponsorship.
Value Notes
Grants of up to £2,500 are available.
Groups will only be allowed one grant over two years.
As a general rule the Foundation expects successful applicants to spend their award within four months of receipt.
Match Funding Restrictions
Match funding is required as 100% of project costs will not be covered.
Who Can Apply
Not-for-profit organisations, community or voluntary groups can apply, as long as they meet the following requirements:
- Have a written set of rules, governing document or constitution.
- Have an annual income of less than £30,000.
- Have a bank account in the name of the group/organisation for payments to be made into.
- Have been in existence for at least one year.
- Work for the benefit of the local community in which CHCP CIC operates (Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, Knowsley and St Helens).
- Are led by volunteers and/or non-profit making.
Eligible Expenditure
Grants can be used to carry out activities, projects or one-off events requiring an element of sponsorship that will contribute to the health and wellbeing of people living in the communities in which CHCP CIC operates.
Activities should contribute towards improvements in at least one of the following:
- Health and wellbeing of adults.
- Health and wellbeing of children and young people.
- Public health of communities, such as healthier lifestyles, stopping smoking, eating well and becoming more active.
- Specialist areas of health and wellbeing, such as addictions and mental health services.
How To Apply
There are typically three funding rounds per year.
The deadlines for applications is 17:00 on 1 March, 1 July and 1 November with notification of decisions on the last day of these months.
