It’s not too late to complete your 2021 Census

You still have time to complete the census. Remember you won’t get a fine if you do it now.

An accurate count of the population ensures that the Council, and partners, receive appropriate Government funding and don’t miss out on access to access to grants from other organisations.  It is also used by authorities in planning services people need such as transport, housing, healthcare and education.

At the neighbourhood level, accurate census data is crucial to:

• calculate how much each ward receives from the CIB budget
• create effective ward and area action plans
• plan and deliver local services based on local need
• help local voluntary organisations and charities access grants and funding

In addition, residents who don’t complete their census could face a fine of £1,000.
