Greenacres Going-On

Neighbourhood Watch doesn’t have to be all about crime prevention, although it does help, but Neighbourhood Watch also involves forming friendships and connecting neighbours with each other to look out for one another.

We wanted to showcase the fabulous Greenacres Goings-On Facebook group which was originally setup by community champion Janet who has brought community spirit to a whole new level.

Coronavirus not only shut people away but isolated more people than ever before!
Greenacres Goings-On was created to bring community spirit to the fore front and have some fun whilst doing so.

The group has brought residents together by organising numerous community activities from afternoon tea on the front driveways in the sunshine to pizza and coffee sessions on the street, book swaps, fundraising activities and a Big Lunch event have all taken place on this quiet corner of Hull.

Absolutely fantastic community spirit and who wouldn’t want to live in an area like this!!
