Groundwork has been working in the St Andrew’s Ward of Hull for a number of years and thanks to a successful application to the Big Lottery’s Reaching Communities Fund, we are now recruiting for two members of staff to help deliver the Growing St Andrews programme.
Growing St Andrews is more than a food growing project. It is a catalyst for change. Over 3 years, the project will provide the education and support needed to build the skills, confidence and capacity of the local community. It will facilitate collective action that transforms the environment and brings about lasting change to St Andrews ward and the lives of local people.
Community Participation Officer – 37 hours per week, up to £22,000
To lead in the development and delivery of bespoke engagement activities linked to the Growing St Andrews work programme.
Volunteer Co-ordinator – 18.5 hours per week, up to £20,000 pro rata
To co-ordinate volunteering opportunities with projects delivered through Growing St Andrews both directly and indirectly and also managing the recruitment of individuals for placements.
