An open letter from the Police & Crime Commissioner Keith Hunter

There is a vast array of volunteering which occurs across the Hull and Humberside area that supports the community safety sector including: being part of the police family as Community Safety Volunteers, Specials or Cadets; keeping communities safe as part of neighbours or business groups within the Neighbourhood Network; supporting the homeless; helping people tackle substance misuse issues; part of advisory groups to shape local delivery of policing; working in the drinking hotspots keeping people safe as an angel; organising playing out sessions in our cities streets; providing mentoring and befriending support; providing youth diversion; improving communities health and wellbeing; and so much more.

To acknowledge this wonderful effort Keith Hunter, The Humberside Police & Crime Commisssioner, has penned an open letter of thanks to all voluntary groups across the Humber region.
