Beverley: Man arrested following two burglaries

A 44 year-old man has been arrested in connection with two burglaries in Beverley’s Toll Gavel.

Police had reports of an alarm activated at a fish and chip shop and then an outdoor clothing store at around 10pm on 26 September.

One of Humberside Police’s newly recruited officers was first on the scene and saw the suspect leave the back of the property.

The suspect was arrested and remains in custody.
