Body of woman found on water’s edge at Sunk Island

On Wednesday 1 April the body of a woman was found at the water’s edge near Cherry Cobb Sand Road, Sunk Island.

Formal identification has not yet taken place, however, police believe the body to be that of missing 52 year-old Beverley woman Jane Gibson, who was reported missing on 10 March 2020.

Jane’s family have been informed and are being supported.  We offer Jane’s family and friends sincere condolences at this sad time.
