Butterflies charity in Hull requires Volunteers

Butterflies is a local charity that holds a number of drop-in sessions supporting people with dementia and memory problems and their families. They provide various activities, for example: quizzes, crafts, music and trips out to pubs, museums, cafes etc.

Butterflies need people who can help provide these activities at their weekly Men’s Luncheon club held at the Clubhouse in Garden Village and at monthly groups held at various venues across the city.

They require:

  • Helpers in the kitchen – cooking, preparing and serving food, clearing up and washing pots
  • Befrienders to help people participate in the activities
  • Help to set up and pack away after the session
  • People to deliver activities

What’s in it for you: they offer training, refreshments, cover your transport costs and you get that lovely warm feeling from doing something rewarding to help others.
