Hull: Judge sentences four men for a total of 58 years in connection with the murder of Abdullah Balouchi
4th August 2021Can you give blood this August?

The NHS needs you this summer! As life begins to return to normal, the NHS needs O positive, O negative and B negative donors to come forward and continue providing patients with life-saving treatment.
Please make an appointment and keep it if you can. If you need to rearrange, please give 3 day’s notice so they will have time to fill your appointment.
They really need:
– Nearly 400 new donors a day to meet demand
– Around 135,000 new donors a year to replace those who can no longer donate
– 40,000 more black donors to meet growing demand for better-matched blood
– 30,000 new donors with priority blood types such as O negative every year
– More young people to start giving blood so we can make sure we have enough blood in the future
It takes around 15 minutes to donate a pint of blood, with the whole appointment likely to be between 45 minutes to an hour. In donating a pint of blood you can help to save and improve the lives of up to 3 adults or 6 children.
