Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust has launched a new grant fund.
Grants of between £250 and £5,000 are available to support grassroots community-led ideas that can respond to physical wellbeing and mental health needs of residents living within Hull and East Riding.
The aims of the grant are:
- Enable local level peer-led activities that will empower personal wellbeing.
- Explore new ways to deliver and connect mental health support within communities.
- Listen, learn and adapt community-led activities to improve personal resilience to wellbeing and mental health.
The funder is particularly (though not exclusively) interested in projects supporting the following groups:
- Young people between the age of 17 and 25
- Older/ isolated people
- Vulnerable/ marginalised communities.
- Hard to reach communities
Applicants may include:
- Registered Charities.
- Constituted Community and Voluntary Organisations.A Constituted Group or Club (a group that has a set of rules describing its purpose and how it’s run).
- A Not-for-Profit Company or Community Interest Company .
- A business with social objectives that reinvest all profit into these objectives.
- A Community Benefit Society.
- Charitable Incorporated Organisations.
- Faith Groups.
- Parish and Town Councils leading a community-led idea.
The Trust has partnered with Smile Foundation who are administering the grants. Applications and guidelines can be found on the Beecan website (registration required).
Applications may be made at any time. The fund will remain open, making awards monthly, until the total investment of £150,000 is allocated.
