As the weather cools, and Christmas approaches, it is a time that some people may feel more isolated, vulnerable, or lonely.
Connect Well Hull offers support all year round to clients who would like to be more involved in community or social activities, get fit or be more active, or want help with low confidence, anxiety or low mood.
They have appointments available across the Christmas period with their Well Being Co-ordinators (WBCs). If you are worried about a neighbour who might feel alone or low over Christmas, and who might be interested in speaking to one of their WBCs, then they can offer them an appointment at a GP practice or community venue near them, or offer a telephone appointment if that suits them better.
Over the Christmas period they have Welfare Advisers and Well Being Co-ordinators seeing clients right up to Christmas weekend, and between Christmas and New Year.
They’re hoping that they can make a real difference this Christmas, and will be around to see or speak to people, help reduce isolation and loneliness, and to start making a plan for the new year to bring in positive changes.
