Did you witness an assault on Melwood Grove in Hull on 7th March?

Humberside Police are appealing for anyone who might have seen an assault on Melwood Grove near to Sculcoates Lane at 8.30am on 7 March.

Two men are alleged to have racially abused and assaulted a man in the street in an unprovoked attack.

A man had left his van on Melwood Road and was walking along the road toward Sculcoates Lane.  Two men got out of a works van and started shouting racial abuse and then allegedly grabbed the man and assaulted him.

The men are described as (suspect 1) white, age 45-50, very tall of average build, grey medium-length hair with grey stubble.  He was wearing a black jumper and work trousers. (Suspect 2) white, age 35-40, tall, of medium build, with shaved light brown hair wearing a light coloured hoodie.
