Humberside Police are appealing for help to locate 32 year-old Vasile Dumitru.

They arrested and questioned Vasile Dumitru, a Romanian national, following an attack on January 14, he was later granted bail by a judge and did not attend his trial at Hull Crown Court earlier this week.

Vasile Dumitru was convicted in his absence at court on 23 July of the rape and assault of a woman on Hessle Foreshore on January 14 2019. He was sentenced to eight years imprisonment and he must register as a sex offender for life.
