20th November 2019Drugs suspect climbs tree to try and escape from officers
A 22-year-old man has been charged for a number of offences after he ran away from officers then climbed up a tree to try and evade arrest.
The man raised suspicions after officers from our proactive team spotted him driving a black car through Hull yesterday afternoon Tuesday 19 November.
He abandoned the car on Ashby Road then ran off on foot. While doing so he threw two items into a garden which were later found to be a suspected stolen wallet and class B drugs.
To try and get away from the officers, he then climbed a tree on Gosport Walk and stayed there for about an hour before coming down to be arrested by waiting officers.
Robert Naser, 22, from Valentine Close in Hull has been charged with possessing a class B drug, and driving a car without insurance or a licence.
He’s due to appear in court next month.
