East Riding: Two arrested after murder investigation launched

A murder investigation has been launched after police were called to a disturbance at a property on Market Place, Snaith, at around 12.30am this morning (Friday 16 July).

Upon attending, sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene, his family have now been informed and are being supported by specialist trained officers.

A 21-year-old man and 18 year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are in custody.

A scene guard remains in place whilst police continue to conduct their enquiries.

Those living in the area will see an increased number of officers over the coming days, carrying out further enquiries and providing reassurance to local residents. Please come and speak to those officers if you have any concerns.

This is an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to members of the public.
