5th September 2024Family Hubs & Start for Life Programme Event – The Journey So Far
Come along on Thursday 26th September, 9am until 3pm, at the University of Hull, to learn about Family Hubs.
Key note speech from Laura Street, Head of Delivery and Programme Design for Family Hubs and Start for Life Programme, Department for Education.
Aims of the event –
- To share outcomes and the impact of the programme over the past 2 years across Hull.
- Highlight areas of good practice using local case studies and how the local offer links with the national picture.
- Facilitate discussions around improved ways of joint working across services to better support children, young people and families.
- To provide an opportunity for attendees to network and contribute to future service development.
Workshops (choice of 3 from 5 to be selected during registration)
- Parent and Baby Bonding/Parenting Support Offer – find out about how services across the partnership are working to support parent infant relationships and parental and infant mental health during the first 1001 days and beyond and the impact of this for families.
- Infant Feeding Support across Hull – understanding the full support available for families around infant feeding across the city, the pathways, improved breastfeeding rates and Hull’s journey on the UNICEF Baby Friendly Accreditation process.
- Parent Peer Support Offer across Hull – what is available for families with children aged 0-2, what support parents/carers can expect to receive and how they are benefiting from the support.
- 1001 Days Universal Activity Programme – project overview, highlighting the universal offer available for families with children 0 – 2, to encourage peer support, positive mental wellbeing, child development, bonding and attachment and parental confidence.
- Discover and Play at Home One Year on– an opportunity to hear about how the Peep Learning Together Programme has been implemented in Hull with input from Bishop Burton College and Peep on the national picture regarding supporting the wider home learning environment.
