6th October 2023Fraud Alert – Advanced Fee Fraud
FraudWatch have informed us that the Humberside Police have had reports that fraudsters are calling victims pretending to be from a pharmacy, asking for your card details to be able to process a prescription.
If you experience any of these calls, hang up & use another phone to seek the opinion from someone close to you and call your bank to verify if this is genuine or not.
When experiencing one of these calls, think:
- Is this caller asking me to send money anywhere?
- Do they want my bank or personal details?
- Are they after my money for ‘safekeeping’ or to ‘help catch a criminal’?
If you do this, it’ll help you to keep your money & information safe.
If you’ve been a victim of a fraud call contact 101 & report it.
