Get in touch with yourself – Free Breast Cancer awareness sessions for all
To mark Breast Cancer awareness month (October), Humber and North Yorkshire Cancer Alliance is supporting national campaigns to raise awareness about breast cancer and the NHS breast screening service, by offering short 30 minute online breast cancer awareness sessions for everyone.
Did you know…
- breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women.
- over 55,000 women are diagnosed each year.
- men can also be diagnosed with breast cancer.
- both trans women and trans men can be affected by breast cancer.
Please come and join one of the online sessions and learn more about;
- the signs and symptoms of breast cancer in men and women
- how to do a breast check
- when is breast cancer screening offered
- what happens at a breast cancer screening
- how to reduce your risk of breast cancer.
