Message from Humberside Police:
Today (Monday 19 July) the government have proceeded with the final phase of the covid roadmap out of lockdown as we continue to adjust to living with the virus.
Restrictions have now been lifted with no limits on groups of people socialising indoors and outdoors at any venue. Capacity limits have been lifted at businesses such as pubs, restaurants, theatres and sporting venues. As a part of this final phase, nightclubs are now allowed to re-open and masks are no longer mandatory in communal/public spaces.

Assistant Chief Constable Darren Downs said: “Firstly, I would like to thank residents within our Force area who have adhered to guidelines since the start of the pandemic and throughout the government vaccination process.
“Although the restrictions have now been eased, we will continue to urge people to remain vigilant to ensure personal safety and that of others. Guidance remains in place and masks in public places are advised.
“As we continue to fulfil our duty as a police force and to provide the level of service to those that need it, our officers will continue to wear masks to ensure we are able to protect you as members of the public, the officers themselves and also their families.
“This continues to be a strange time for most, and many will feel anxious about the final phase of restrictions easing. We must remain cautious but also respectful of other people views should they wish to follow previous mandatory guidance by continuing to wear masks and social distance.”
