Healthwatch North Lincolnshire Project Officer

If so Healthwatch have an exciting opportunity for you to join their North Lincolnshire team.
About Them
Healthwatch was established as a statutory service independent from the NHS and social care services, but with the purpose of being the consumer champion for local health and social care provision. Healthwatch has a wide remit and has a number of legal powers to help ensure that patient and public voice is at the heart of how health and care services are designed and delivered. Each Local Authority area in England has its own Healthwatch service, and Hull CVS holds the contract for Healthwatch North Lincolnshire, as well as all other Healthwatch in the Humber region.
The role
As a Healthwatch Project Officer you will be responsible for finding ways to engage with a diverse range of individuals and groups from within the local community and use your range of interpersonal skills to discover their feedback and experiences of health and social care interactions.
You will need to be able to converse with a wide range of stakeholders and have the ability to present projects, feedback and recommendations at a variety of meetings.
This role will also include recruiting and managing volunteers, providing information and signposting, producing periodic reports and leading on initiatives that actively help patient experiences drive positive change.
The overall objective of the role of Project Officer is to lead on all engagement, patient experience and intelligence gathering related to the following designated care areas of work in the Healthwatch locality.
- Primary Care
- Secondary Care
- Mental Health
- Community services
- Adult Social care
- Learning Disability and SEND
Healthwatch North Lincolnshire currently have two full time Project Officer roles available, and each role will be required to focus on three of the above care areas. Applicants should express within their cover letter which areas are most suited to their skills, abilities and personal preferences.
Previous experience of working within the voluntary and community sector, or health and social care sector is not essential.
Package
The post has a starting salary of £22,000, with a wide range of access to training and personal development opportunities.
- Full time position, based on a 35 hour working week and so offers a good work life balance
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- You receive another 3 days to be taken over Christmas after one year of service
