Hedon: We’re looking for witnesses and information

Officers are investigating reports that a man was seen allegedly trying to grab hold of a 2-year-old girl.

The incident occurred around 4.45pm yesterday in Hedon as the child was playing in her garden. He ran off when disturbed by the child’s father.

The suspect has been described as white, 25-30 years old, 5 feet 6, skinny with short black spiky hair. He was wearing a red t-shirt and black three-quarter length jeans. He had a piercing to his right eyebrow.

He was accompanied by another male who’s only been described as 5 feet 8 tall and of medium build.

Police have increased patrols in the area to reassure people and are actively investigating this and also asking for information. Did you see the men or did you see what happened?
