Help Your Fire and Rescue Service

With the University of York, Humberside Fire and Rescue Service is undertaking a research project to evaluate its safety visits, known as Safe and Well visits.

Safe and Well visits provide information on staying safe in your home from fire, reducing the chance of falls in the home and ways to prevent social isolation.

They are an important part of helping to keep people safe. We are looking for volunteers over the age of 65 to join a people’s panel, where we will ask questions about the visits and review information handed out at them.

This will be initially via an online meeting through a website app called Zoom.
