A 22-year-old man who assaulted an officer after driving whilst disqualified has been jailed for two years.
Callam Jordan, of 21st Avenue, Hull, pleaded guilty of driving whilst disqualified, assaulting an emergency worker and escaping lawful custody.

On 5th April Jordan was riding a motorcycle in the Orchard Park area of Hull when officers asked him to stop. He failed to do so and was pursued by the officers, at first on the vehicle and then by foot.
Officers caught up with Jordan however he assaulted one of the team, leaving them with facial injuries, before escaping from their custody.
He was later arrested and charged with the three offences, appearing before the court this week for sentencing.
PC Adam Barley said: “Not only did Jordan commit traffic offences, he also assaulted one of our team and this is simply not acceptable.
“I hope that this sentencing sends a clear warning to anyone who thinks that it is okay to assault emergency workers that it is not, and we will do everything we can to put you before the courts.
“We need help from the residents to give us information about who’s riding these bikes in an unsafe and anti-social way and tell us where they’re being stored, so if you have information on motorbike related crime and antisocial behaviour please call us on 101, and quote Op Yellowfin.”
