30th October 2019Hull Activity Grants
Lots of Neighbourhood Network members have benefited from this fund, so definitely worth a go. Previously there has been a broad range of things supported including:
· hosting an event or activity
· purchasing new equipment, materials or repairs
· setting up a pilot project or starting up a new group
· expenses for volunteers, pay for workers and professional fees
The Rank and Esmee Fairbairn ‘Hull Community Development Programme’ has finished, however both organisation wanted to continue to support the impact that the small grants programme had achieved.
Therefore Activity Grants which is the provision of £25,000 per year (max limit of £500 / application / year) is guaranteed for the next 3 years. The intention is for grassroots community groups to access grant funding through a simple process to support community activity across Hull.
All communities have assets these grants have been created to give local leaders the opportunities to support appropriate and focussed interventions. Both Foundations understand the benefits that the social sector can achieve when it’s allowed the freedom to capitalise on its own energy, relationships and networks.
Community organisations (with at least two signatories on the bank account) can make applications through this link – http://www.rankfoundation.com/placed-based-project-hull/hull-community-development-programme-activity-grants.
