Hull: Arrested drugs suspect throws luxury watch at officers

A man arrested on suspicion of drugs and theft offences in Hull threw an expensive Swiss watch at officers while running away from them.

The man was spotted in the middle of a suspected drugs deal on George Street in Hull city centre by plain clothes proactive officers and ran off. 

While doing so he threw a number of objects at the pursuing officers including a Tag Heuer watch. The watch was thought be worth around £1,500. 

The man was caught with a quantity of ‘magic mushrooms’ on him and £350 in cash. He was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled drug with intent to supply, assaulting a police officer, money laundering and theft. 

He has been released under investigation. 

The watch was smashed during the incident.
