Hull: Attempted handbag snatch

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was the victim of an attempted robbery on Inglemire Lane on Tuesday afternoon, 31 July around 2:15pm

The woman was with another woman walking along Inglemire Lane towards Beverley Road when they were approached from behind by two men on a scooter.  When level with the women, the pillion passenger attempted to grab the handbag from the shoulder of one of the women who kept hold of the bag, but fell to the floor where she was allegedly assaulted by the pillion passenger. The woman sustained bruising to her right arm and right shin but did not require hospital treatment.  Nothing was stolen.
