Hull: Businesses hit as burglars steal cash

Advice from Humberside Police to businesses not to keep cash on the premises as six town centre shops are broken into:

Hull Central Inspector Kirsty Tock said, “Police community teams are making business visits today in Hull city centre to advise them not to leave cash on their premises.  Last night there were six burglaries where cash tins and equipment were stolen.

“Some of the businesses had large amounts of cash stolen, others only a few pounds, but the damage to the shop fronts and doors as the offenders broke into the premises run into thousands of pounds.”

We are doing all we can to gather CCTV footage and evidence to find those responsible for last night’s crimes and are appealing for information that might help us with our enquiries.

If you have information that would help please call 101 quoting log 84 10/04/18.
