A callous woman who threatened and stole from two vulnerable men was sentenced to serve seven years in jail yesterday.
Charlotte Newton (25), of Gleneagles Park, Hull, appeared at Hull Crown Court yesterday (Monday 25 April) where the court heard how Newton robbed two men on Tuesday 19 October 2021.
Newton was reported to have entered a man’s property. She held a bread knife under the chin of a vulnerable 74-year-old man and his friend, before leaving with a total of £110.
Judge John Thackray said: “I saw very clearly that there was not one jot of genuine remorse. Significant sentences must follow for those that target the most vulnerable in society.”
