Hull: Charges brought against man for assault on woman

A 54-year-old man has been charged with grievous bodily harm and robbery following the assault of a woman on Euston Close, Hull in the early hours of Friday 17 September.

The woman suffered serious injuries to her face and was taken to hospital to be treated after being assisted by a member of the public. A man was arrested quickly in connection with the report.

The man charged appeared in Hull Magistrates Court this morning (Thursday 23 September) and has been remanded to Hull Crown Court on Thursday 21 October.

This incident was isolated and unconnected to any other incidents. Officers continue to have a highly visible presence in the area for further reassurance.
