14th July 2023Hull City supporter issued with five-year Football Banning Order

A Hull City supporter who was found to be in possession of drugs at a Hull City and Rotherham United match on Saturday 1 April has been ordered to pay a £253 fine and issued with a five-year Football Banning Order.
Callum Tait, aged 22, of Wentworth Way in Hull appeared at Hull Magistrates Court on Tuesday 11 July and pleaded guilty to public order offences and possession of Class A drugs.
Dedicated Football Officer for Hull City, Samantha Wilson said: “Drugs are often accompanied by violence, disorder and other criminal offences. I hope the outcome at court sends a clear message to people looking to attend matches with drugs and cause disruption, that it will not be tolerated.
“Football should be an opportunity for people to come together over a mutual love for the sport, and anyone who looks to disrupt that will be dealt with robustly.”
