Hull CVS are dedicated to promoting upcoming vacancies in the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector.
They’re sending this special bulletin to make sure everyone is aware of the opportunities available in the VCSE sector. It’s a focus piece on a single organisation called Healthwatch who has the following opportunities available in the Humber area:
Healthwatch Kingston upon Hull – Secondary and Mental Health Project Officer.
Healthwatch North East Lincolnshire – Primary Care and Secondary Care Project Officer.
The overall objective of the role of Project Officer is to lead on all engagement, patient experience and intelligence gathering related to one or more of the following designated care areas of work in the Healthwatch locality.
- Primary Care
- Secondary Care
- Mental Health
- Community Services
- Adult Social Care, including Learning Disabilities (LD) and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Each Project Officer works closely with the Healthwatch Delivery Manager and wider team to effectively represent the patient and public voice and contribute towards the implementation of improvements in the above service areas.
Specific duties include:
Intelligence gathering
- Collating patient experience and feedback related to designated care area.
- Working with fellow team members, the external NHS Complaints Advocacy Service and other external partners to ensure the triangulation of all patient feedback mechanisms in designated care area.
- Analysing, interpreting and presenting the results of the patient experiences collected, and ensuring information collected is feeding in to Healthwatch research, investigations and workplan setting.
- Leading on investigation of issues where appropriate, including development of surveys, delivery of focus groups and report writing with support from the Healthwatch Manager.
Engagement and communications
- Acting as main point of contact for feedback and enquiries related to one of the above designated health and care service areas.
- Leading all engagement with designated care area including face to face engagement activity at a range of settings to raise the profile of Healthwatch and ensure members of the public understand its role and remit.
- Ensuring the hardest to reach and seldom heard groups are aware of the work of Healthwatch and how they can have their voices heard.
Wider responsibilities
- Providing direct line management support to a cohort of volunteers, including the recruitment of new volunteers.
- Producing periodic reports about patient experiences gathered and trends identified, and to contribute to Healthwatch quarterly and annual reports.
- Supporting the work of colleagues and being involved in projects outside of their remit from time to time as the needs of the service change.
Important Information
Salary: £20,000 – £21,000 (Depending on Experience)
Hours: 35 Hours
Standard Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (with occasional evening and weekend working)
