Are you seeking an opportunity where you can make a difference to vital local causes, charities and communities?
Our Sector Development team provides direct support to help local causes to start up, and to improve their ongoing effectiveness and sustainability. We provide a range of services to hundreds of volunteers, charities and community organisations who dedicate their lives to making a difference to local communities across Hull and surrounding areas.
As a Sector Grants and Support Officer you will play a key role in supporting organisations and the hundreds of volunteers who dedicate their lives to making a difference in local communities across Hull.
You will meet staff and volunteers within communities and support voluntary and community sector groups in accessing funding, as well as managing Hull CVS grant funds. You will also conduct healthchecks with groups helping them to flourish and grow, and will promote the use of Hull CVS services. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated person who wants to make a difference to local communities.
You will have strong interpersonal, and communications skills and be able to think creatively. You should have a flexible approach within the team and you will be required to manage your own workload across multiple locations. It is essential that you relate well to people from a wide variety of backgrounds as you will be working within local communities. A commitment to monitoring and evidencing the impact of your work will also be vital.
