Two men involved in a burglary that caused ‘significant trauma’ to its victims were sentenced at Hull Crown Court last week.
Lennon McCusker (20) of Limedane, Hull, and Dawid Kajzer (17) of Lingcourt, Hull, pleaded guilty to the burglary on Wednesday 17 November 2021. Kajzer can now be named after the judge lifted reporting restrictions covering his age.
The court heard how McCusker and Kajzer were involved in a burglary that resulted in the theft of vehicles from a property in north Hull where two vulnerable people were asleep at the time.
McCusker and Kajzer were sentenced to 36 months and 30 months’ imprisonment respectively.
Summing up, Judge Mark Bury said: “When you commit burglaries like this, it causes significant trauma. These two elderly people have been significantly affected by it. I regard this offending as very serious.”
