Fairtrade Yorkshire is holding an event in Trinity Square, Hull on Saturday 5th October, as part of a national celebration for the 25 year anniversary of the Fairtrade trademark. The Fairtrade Foundation has chosen 5 UK regions to support with the celebration, Yorkshire being one of them, and Hull has been chosen as the venue.
A ‘human mosaic’ of the Fairtrade logo is planned in Trinity Square at mid day, with volunteers wearing the Fairtrade colours being photographed from above, and there will be pop up Fairtrade stalls in Trinity Market 10am – 4pm.
The Hull Fairtrade Partnership is supporting the event and would love as many people as possible to attend to show the city’s support for Fairtrade and social justice.
Fairtrade Yorkshire is organising the ‘human mosaic’, and the market stalls, and anyone interested in this should contact Joanna Pollard, Fairtrade Yorkshire Co-ordinator at email@example.com.
