Hull: Four arrested after suspected stolen cars and car parts found in Wawne

Following information given to officers by a member of the public, an extensive search of a property in Wawne was carried out.

During the search two suspected stolen cars and car parts were found which we believe could be linked to burglaries in east Hull during which keys were stolen in order to steal cars.

An Audi and a Nissan Qashqai as well as numerous motor parts were discovered. 

Police are linking the cars to two incidents of burglary on Minster Close in Hull on 13 June and on Compass Road on 31 May this year.  

Four men aged 71, 40, 23, and 21 were arrested. They have since been released under investigation while enquiries continue. 

The two day investigation involved officers from CID, and those from proactive and patrol teams.
