24th November 2021Hull: Funding to help support the vulnerable and those isolating this winter
Organisations supporting people who are isolating, or who are continuing to shield from the risk of COVID19, have an opportunity to apply for funding to pay for the practical support they will be offering over the festive period.
Applications must be submitted on the application form below and should be emailed to the Grants Officer no later than 10am Weds 15th December 2021 to receive grant payments before Christmas.
Organisations wishing to apply for funds to continue similar support in the New Year may apply in the same way by 10 am Friday 7th January 2022
Grants of between £150 – £15,000 are offered to voluntary and community organisations supporting local communities in the city of Hull. The purpose of the grants is to pay for resources and activities offering practical, social, and emotional support for those in greatest need who lack sufficient support networks, to:
- People who need guidance, support and assistance to self-isolate following a contact from Test and Trace and/or a positive test result for Covid 19.
- People who are at high risk of having the virus – for example Clinically Extremely Vulnerable people who, though no longer needing to shield, may prefer to remain at home to avoid exposure to risk of infection.
- Individuals during the period of their care-provider’s self-isolation.
Grants must be entirely spent or committed, by 31 March 2022 although activity (excluding payment of salaries) may continue into April 2022.
We will be holding an online briefing session on Tuesday 30th November 10am – 11.30am to answer any queries relating to the grant and application process. Please contact gail@forum.org.uk if you would like to register for this session.
