Fixed term until 30 April 2019 due to funding.
Hull City Council Healthy Lifestyles Team are looking to recruit a Healthy Lifestyles Activator to work with families across Hull on their Public Health funded project.
The successful candidate will design, develop and co-ordinate a programme of activity to promote positive lifestyle behaviour choices within Hull’s youngest families, working directly with parents and communities in relation to physical activity and nutrition, creating healthier habits at the earliest stage of a child’s development.
Improving the knowledge and understanding of nutrition amongst residents of Hull will be central to the role, building on the team’s established successful healthy cooking and healthy lifestyles parenting programme, whilst having the opportunity to implement new and attractive initiatives to some of Hull’s hardest to reach communities.
The ability to work alongside partner agencies and practitioners to achieve the aims and objectives of the project is imperative; working autonomously at times and to deadlines will be a regular occurrence. You will also be responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of the project to highlight the impact of initiatives to our funders.
