Six people have been arrested in Hull city centre on 5th June 2018 as police teams continue to tackle issues of drug dealing and anti-social behaviour.
One was released without charge but the other five remained in custody. Four were detained on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and one on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to supply.
One of the men was arrested by Chief Constable Lee Freeman, who was out on foot patrol in the area at the time and was approached by concerned members of the public. The man was released without charge a short time later.
There are teams out on patrol in the area – whether that’s plain clothes officers or high visibility patrols – and use CCTV to gather further evidence.
If you’re concerned or have any information you think will help police call 101 or 999 in an emergency.
